Tuition Reduction Incentive Program (TRIP)
TRIP is a Tuition Reduction Incentive Program which helps reduce tuition through the purchases families ordinarily make.
The TRIP program purchases gift certificates from a national company. This company is able to buy large quantities of these gifts certificates from certain businesses. Because these businesses want to help non-profit organizations like LCS, they offer them to you at face value with the understanding that a certain percentage will go toward tuition. Each business decides what percentage they will give.
The TRIP program is run weekly, except in the summer. A TRIP family account number is assigned to you. Other familiy members (grandparents, aunts, or uncles) or friends may order certificates on your order form or by registering for their own number with the earnings directed to your family.
Accounts can also be set up for future families before children are enrolled in LCS and the money is held until the child starts school at LCS.
When do I receive the tuition credit?
Twice per year: April and November. You will receive a copy of your earnings statement and your tuition during those months are reduced by the amount you have earned.
How do I order?
Look for the TRIP bulletin board in the front hallway of the school. There are merchant lists, order forms, and a TRIP mailbox. Orders must be placed in the TRIP mailbox by 8:15 am on Mondays. Filled orders are distributed in the front hallway on Wednesday afternoons from 2:45 until 3:15 and Thursday mornings from 7:45 until 8:15. Sometimes there are delays, especially around Christmas.
How much money could I earn?
We have families who earn $50 to $800 per year based on how they use the program. Family, grandparents, and friends can help you out as well.
How do I get started?
Fill out a TRIP registration form with your first order. Registration and order forms are found in the front hallway of school.
