Annual Golf Outing

Every year on the 3rd Friday in September LCS hosts the Annual Golf Outing at the Ravines Golf Course in West Lafayette.  This event is open to anyone desiring an avenue to have fun while making a financial contribution to the school.   Besides golf there is a chance to win a door prize and enjoy a meal with fellow Christians.

The 1st outing in September 2006 raised over $8,000 that lowered the mortgage on the portable classrooms.  Starting in 2007 the event’s proceeds has been used to update and improve the school’s computer technology capabilities by replacing classroom computers and making laptop computers available for each teacher.  The 2009 events’ proceeds will be used for improving technology at Lafayette Christian School. The money will be used for purchasing three laptop computers for teacher use (Mrs. Winger, Mrs. Ratcliffe, and Mrs. Haas will receive theirs this year) and seven laptops for student use. These student laptops are especially important considering the flexibility the school needs during construction. With our limited classroom space, the current computer lab will only be available for other classes a few class periods per week.

An entry fee includes golf, cart, snack and dinner.  A Florida scramble format is played.  Registration begins at 11 a.m with a shotgun start at 12:00 p.m.  Non-golfers may purchase cookout tickets only.  Local patrons and businesses provide hole sponsorship and provide the door prizes.
