All LCS students are encouraged to participate in the Summer Reading Challenge,!

The Goal: Read 20 minutes per day, everyday throughout the summer.  Listening to books counts as well!

The Process: Color a book for each 20 minute reading session on the Reading Chart.  Record finished books on the Reading Log.

The Incentive: Student reading achievement will be recognized when we return to school in the fall.

The Learning Beacon: Summer Tutoring
Pre-K through 12th grade
Does your child or teen need extra help with learning? As a licensed teacher with over 40 years of experience in working with children/youth, I am excited to announce that I have openings for this summer. My name is Colleen Sipple and I have been tutoring the past nine years after school and in the summer.  It has been awesome to offer one-on-one intervention for children/youth that need additional help in the areas of: reading readiness, math, reading, spelling, and/or writing. Using the Discovery Program, I help children overcome perceptual weaknesses that hinder their learning. The Susan Barton Reading and Spelling System, which is specifically for students with Dyslexia, is one of my favorite tools. These programs have been very effective and successful for students. I absolutely love helping children and teens! For more information please contact me at (765)242-5852, or Tutoring begins online using Zoom on June 8 and ends July 31 this summer!
