Athletics Mission Statement

The athletics program at Lafayette Christian School is committed to providing a competitive athletic opportunity.  We encourage our coaches, players, parents, and fans to exemplify a Christ-like attitude in all of life.

The soccer team is made up of boys and girls in grades 6-8.  They play in the fall and compete against several local schools.

We have two or three volleyball teams made up of girls in grades 4-8.  These teams compete in the fall and play games against local public and private schools.

The cross country team is made up of girls and boys in grades 5-8.  They compete in several local meets in the fall.  This is a relatively new program, and we are excited to see how it will grow in the future.

Girls cheerleading has made a comeback in the 23-24 school year. Girls in grades 5-8 cheer for most home basketball games.

We have separate boys' and girls' basketball teams for students in grades 4-8.  Our teams compete against local public and private schools during the winter season.

LCS students in grades 4-8 may participate on a track team that combines Lafayette Christian School students and St. James Lutheran students. Four or five meets are scheduled during the spring.
